Industrial Machinery We provide the best solutions to meet individual diversified needs such as productivity improvement and environmental preservation.

Our industrial machinery history dates back to the Mining Machinery Repair Division at the Ashio Copper Mine founded in the late 1800s. Since then, we have expanded the business by continuously developing and innovating technologies for various types of machinery used in mines.
Also, Otsuka Iron Works, Ltd. with a history that spans over 100 years merged with Furukawa Industrial Machinery System. With abundant technologies for crushing, milling, classifying and briquetting and a group of superior products added by this merger, we will continuously develop products and expand the business to meet more diversified needs.

pumps Our history of pumps dates back to the early 1910’s when we developed and manufactured a company-use pump, and we have been selling them since 1954. Since then, we have been offering a wide variety of products such as slurry pumps, the most suitable for transporting liquid with solids, and sewage pumps for human waste and sewage treatment. We have delivered our products to a number of customers in a wide range of fields, from governments and other public organizations to private companies in Japan and overseas. They are used in pollution prevention equipment and have become essential in underground and undersea tunnel construction, including public work projects.

Environmental Preservation Equipment

Environmental Preservation Equipment We propose various types of air pollution control facilities and water treatment equipment and when it comes to electrostatic precipitators in particular, we have a history of over 50 years of manufacturing. We also offer distinctive products such as advanced exhaust gas treatment facilities, deodorizing equipment, sewage volume reduction equipment and foreign object removers/sunk sand removers.

Steel Structures

Steel StructuresAdvanced welding technologies are required for building large steel structures. We have expanded the business by utilizing the know-how and technologies that we have accumulated as a plant manufacturer over many years. Since we began the bridge business in 1968, we have delivered many bridges and steel structures to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, expressway companies and local governments. In order to ensure safety and durability, we take all possible measures to control quality, and our Bridge Division obtained ISO9001 certification - an international standard for quality control.

Industrial Machinery

Industrial Machinery In 2008 Furukawa Industrial Machinery Systems merged with a manufacturer of crushers, grinding mills and briquetting machines, Furukawa Otsuka Co., Ltd. (formerly Otsuka Iron Works, Ltd.), and inherited Otsuka’s excellent credit which it accumulated with its experience and technology of over 100 years. We are especially focusing on research and development activities, and actively exchange technologies with overseas manufacturers. Through such endeavors we develop new, unique products. Also, our technologies have been applied in energy-related and environment and recycling-related fields. For example, they are used for drying and grinding coals, researching new, environmentally-friendly composite fuels, and recycling incineration residues at waste incineration plants in cities.

Heat-Resistant and Wear-Resistant Castings

Heat-Resistant and Wear-Resistant Castings Casting products play an essential role in industrial machinery, from being used as single components to making up the heart of the machinery. They are used in machinery products used in a wide range of fields, such as iron-making, stone-crushing and environmental conservation across Japan. We also manufacture unprecedented products such as blast furnace liners, ceramic-based wear-resistant castings and cobalt alloys.
