The Electronic Materials Division started by entering upon a study of high-purity metallic arsenic in 1961. At present, the division has an established footing as the world top manufacture of high-purity metallic arsenic. Its supply meets almost all the demand of the Japanese market and a large quantity of this product is exported to overseas countries as well.

The product lineup has been expanded to include various kinds of high-purity products, compound semiconductors, coils for line filters, and others. The Electronic Materials Division is making contributions to the progress of the highly-networked information age through the supply of products having superior quality.

High-purity metallic arsenic

High-purity metallic arsenic is used as a raw material for gallium arsenic semiconductors. It is also used as n-type dopant for silicon, and for infrared transparent material or calcogenide glass by synthesizing chalcogenide compounds such as arsenic sulfide and arsenic selenide.

Aluminum nitride ceramics

Aluminum nitride has superior thermal conductivity, thermal radiation, electric insulation and other characteristics. It is used in parts for semiconductor manufacturing equipments by utilizing these characteristics. It is also used for materials for substrates and filler. Thus, the intended uses of this product have been expanded.

Core coil for line filter

This product is used for a switching power supply or the like in order to prevent line noise from any electric/electronic devices. Sendust and amorphous as core materials are used for smoothing choke coils because of their low loss. They are applicable for making a supply circuit more efficient.

Laser-use lenses and optical parts

We supply optical parts for a laser cutter, infrared thermometers, and optical parts for night-vision cameras, and provide services for polishing and coating other crystals. These products and services will associate light with modern life.
